Electrical / Software Equipment Engineer – Yacht – Drachten

Join Philips to drive life-changing innovation! We seek an experienced, hands-on Electrical Engineer to lead the design, engineering, and improvement of custom electrical appliances, test boxes, and manufacturing systems for our health technologies.
This is a critical, project-based role where you will ensure quality, reliability, and, most importantly, safety on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary projects (Electrical, Mechanical, Software) from concept to execution, managing budgets, planning, and progress
• Design, engineer, and document new/existing electrical equipment and test systems
• Serve as the go-to expert on electrical and machine safety, ensuring strict compliance with standards like NEN3140, Machine Directive, Low Voltage Directive, and ISO
• Create technical documentation, assembly drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Manage assembly/installation work and provide hands-on support on the manufacturing floor

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4–8 years of experience in a development/production setting for industrial products
• Mandatory skills in LabVIEW/Python
• Excellent knowledge of relevant safety standards (NEN3140, ISO13849, etc.)
• Strong Project Management and excellent documentation skills
• Dutch Native and proficient English (verbal and written)
• Willingness to work primarily on-site in manufacturing
• Experience with Eplan is a plus
