    As an Account Manager Surgery at BD in the South of the Netherlands, you are responsible for the sale of hernia, infection prevention and biosurgery solutions. You identify business opportunities and proactively look for new possibilities. You build long-term relationships with customers and analyze market trends and developments to gain competitive advantage. You also introduce new products, represent the company at conferences and trade fairs, and maintain the CRM tool

    Account Manager Surgery, South Netherlands

    You will work at BD, one of the largest medical technology companies worldwide. BD develops innovative technologies, services and solutions that help healthcare providers and patients alike. Our head office is in Erembodegem (BE) and you will mainly work remotely.

    Your role:

    As an Account Manager Surgery you are responsible for the sales of our hernia, infection prevention and biosurgery solutions in the South of the Netherlands. You are able to recognize business opportunities and proactively look for new opportunities through initiative and creativity.

    Your main responsibilities:

  • Sales of BD’s broad Surgery portfolio and innovations
  • You achieve the annually agreed sales targets and growth within your region
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers.
  • Proactive analysis of market trends and developments (observes, analyzes and reports needs, concerns and opinions of accounts and collects market information, competitive information and general market dynamics information) and competitors’ developments to ensure competitive advantage in the market
  • Introducing new products, such as presentation and training to customers, to handling contract negotiations.
  • Representation at appropriate conferences and fairs.
  • Maintain the , updating and entering information; accurate and up to date
  • Your profile and skills

  • You have an HBO thinking and working level, through experience or education.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience, we consider it a plus if you have gained this in healthcare or specifically in the field of hernia, infection prevention and/or biosurgery.
  • Experience with introducing a new brand or product introductions to the Dutch market.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • You are good at project management and you have a structured working method.
  • Strong degree of self-activating ability, seeing and seizing opportunities in the market and being able to follow up on them.
  • You are a team player with a drive to learn and share knowledge.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and good knowledge of English (oral and written).
